River valley living with a full K-12 pathway and a short commute
Devon is a town of roughly 6,500 to 6,800 people on the southern bank of the North Saskatchewan River, about 26 km southwest of Edmonton and only about 15 minutes from the Edmonton International Airport. Built by Imperial Oil as a planned community after the 1947 Leduc No. 1 oil discovery, it was Canada’s first town approved by a regional planning body, and that planning shows in the town’s 24 km of paved and natural river valley trails.
Devon residents have a short commute within the Edmonton metro region, and the town offers a genuine K-12 public school pathway without ever leaving the community. That’s a significant selling point for families relocating from Edmonton who want more space and lower home prices without sacrificing school continuity or commute time.
